a foggy morning

I had intended to have more words to go along with these photos. Words to describe and explain, but I would rather have a finished post than a perfect one. If I have the brain cells to get the post I want to write together, I’ll do that. Until then, please enjoy these photos I took a few weeks back. I ran to the Susquehanna early one morning, before starting my shift at work, and not a single regret. The river was beautiful, weather is fun and I really like these photos.

I’ll be moving away from using social media in the way I have for the last ten years, this will be the best place to keep in touch if we don’t already do that in real life. ❤

  1. I’ve been reading indigenous lore about rivers, particularly lore related to the Haudenosaunee and other folks that lived along the Susquehanna before us. There are stories about mist & fog on this river representing the dead. Not necessarily ghosts, but memories. The lore says it’s a great time to ask for guidance and to honor the dead when the mist and fog rise on the river. The river holds all the memories, and we can see those memories when the mist rises.
